You inherit the spells at each indicated ranger level in the Drakewarden Spells table as ranger spells.
You learn how to read, speak, and write Draconic. Moreover, choose one of the options from the Draconic Essence table. The features you gain from this Ranger Subclass option grants you effects based on the choice you make as you gain levels in this class.
You can use your Primal Companion feature to target a small or smaller dragon.
When you or your Primal Companion hit a creature marked by your Hunter's Mark feature, you or your Primal Companion deal an additional damage die of the damage type related to your Draconic Essence feature.
At the start of each of your turns, you and your Primal Companion gain Temporary Hit Points equal to your ranger level. If you or your drake companion take damage of the same damage type associated with your Draconic Essence feature from a hostile creature while you have these Temporary Hit Points, you can take the Magic action as a reaction to remove the Temporary Hit Points and cause you and your drake companion to regain Hit Points equal to Temporary Hit Points you and your drake companion had.
When you and your drake companion are subjected to an area of effect that causes you and your drake companion to make a Dexterity saving throw, you and your drake companion have advantage on the save, provided you and your drake companion are within 30 feet of each other.
You gain resistance to the damage type associated with your Draconic Essence feature.
In addition, when you cast a ranger spell that targets only you, you can choose to also target your drake companion.
