The drake companion has the following features.
The drake companion is considered tamed by the ranger, and the condition can’t be removed in any way.
The drake companion’s size increases by one when the ranger reaches 6th (Medium), 10th (Large), and 14th-level (Huge).
The drake companion gains a flying speed equal to its walking speed, and is immune to the mounted condition while using its flying speed until the ranger reaches 14th-level.
Bite. Melee Unarmed Attack: +3 plus PB to hit, one target. Hit: PB × 1d6 piercing damage.
Breathe Weapon (Recharge 5–6). The drake companion exhales energy in a 30-foot cone, causing each creature in that area to make a Dexterity saving throw. On a failed save, a creature takes 1d8 for each two ranger levels of the damage type associated with the ranger’s Draconic Essence feature, or half as much on a successful save.
Claw. Melee Unarmed Attack: +3 plus PB to hit, one target. Hit: PB × 1d6 slashing damage.
Tail. Melee Unarmed Attack: +3 plus PB to hit, one target. Hit: PB × 1d8 bludgeoning damage.
Infused Strikes (Recharge 5–6). When a creature within 30 feet of the drake companion that it can see hits with a weapon attack, the drake companion infuses the strike with its essence, causing the attack to deal an extra 1d6 damage of the type determined by the ranger's Draconic Essence feature.
Reflexive Resistance (Recharge 5–6). When the ranger or the drake companion takes damage while it is within 30 feet of the ranger, the drake companion can use a reaction to grant the ranger and drake companion resistance to the triggering damage.
