On a hit, you can cause the target and any creature in a 10-foot line that is 5 feet wide directly behind the target to take lightning and thunder damage equal to your spellcasting ability modifier each, plus an additional 1d4 lightning and 1d4 thunder damage at level 5 (1d4, 1d4), 11 (2d4, 2d4), and 17 (3d4, 3d4).
