Proficiency with the healer's kit allows identify and recall lore about medical procedures, and more easily identify diseases and conditions. A healer's kit is also required to restore hit points to a creature and spend Hit Die during a rest. The kit has ten uses, each of which can be expended in one of the ways detailed below.
The healer's kit is a leather pouch containing bandages, gauze, salves, and splints. One healer's kit has ten uses.
Animal Handling. You can recall lore about animal anatomy and diseases, as well as provide care to beasts.
Athletics. You can identify if a humanoid is in healthy physical conditions.
History. You can recall lore on medical procedures and diagnoses related to humanoids based on an injury or condition.
Investigation. You gain added insight into the origin, duration, and severity of an injury.
Medicine. Your knowledge of medicine combined with your proficiency with the healer's kit allows you make any Wisdom (Medicine) check with advantage.
Nature. You can recall lore about ingredients required to produce a remedy.
Survival. You can spend 1 hour and 1 sp during a long rest to create enough resources to replenish 1 use of your healer's kit.
Bleeding. You can expend one use of the surgery kit to end the bleeding condition on a creature within 5 feet of you.
First Aid. You can expend one use of the healer's kit to stabilize a creature that has 0 hit points, without needing to make a Wisdom (Medicine) check.
